Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse is responsible for providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients within a Level 1 Trauma Center. This role involves delivering high-acuity patient management across multiple ICU specialties, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, and Trauma ICU, supporting a dynamic and academically enriching environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (Neurological Shock Scale) certification, 5 years of recent acute care ICU experience, and Basic Arrhythmia management skills. Candidates must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with a score of 80% or higher, in two attempts.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, Medical Intensive Care Unit experience, Neuro ICU and Burn ICU experience, and experience with multiple ICU specialties.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  The role supports an interdisciplinary team including IV teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Social Services. Candidates will gain exposure to various critical care environments and contribute to patient care in a Magnet-certified facility. Candidates must demonstrate competence in multiple ICU specialties and have recent inpatient ICU experience. Successful completion of a telemetry test is required prior to start.
