As a Physical Therapist at our rehabilitation facility, you will work in an engaging and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess impairments and functional limitations, developing scalable and patient-specific treatment plans based on physician directives.
- Document all aspects of patient care including evaluations, performed treatments, plans of care, and discharge summaries using appropriate terminology and standards.
- Supervise and support physical therapy assistants (PTAs) and other support personnel in implementing treatment plans while maintaining high standards of care.
- Engage in continuous assessment of patient progress and refine treatment protocols to ensure optimal outcomes, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and outcomes for insurance and facility accountability, ensuring adherence to compliance and billing requirements.
- Collaborate regularly with a multidisciplinary team to discuss patient progress and adjust therapeutic strategies as needed.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will focus on a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and those with chronic pain disorders. You will apply your expertise to develop treatment plans that are age-appropriate and considerate of individual patient needs, optimizing their physical function and promoting a better quality of life.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of explaining complex medical information in an accessible manner.
- Proficiency in computer skills and experience with electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum one year of experience working in a physical therapy setting, ideally within a rehabilitation facility.

Compensation and Benefits
