The architect will re‑write and re‑architect existing systems, applying the latest technology to improve design, implementation and performance. Responsibilities Define and promote enterprise architecture that supports the company’s business strategy. Design and review application and data architecture, including frameworks, components, and infrastructure. Conduct design and code reviews of J2EE software components. Identify and remediate architectural weaknesses. Participate across the software development life cycle: requirements, specifications, development, testing, release and maintenance. Advising on network, security, operating system and infrastructure engineering. Qualifications 5–7 years of experience as a Java/J2EE architect. Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, Servlets, JSP, EJB 2.0, JMS, JDBC, JTA, JNDI, JMX, JAAS, UML. Experience with Struts, TopLink, WebLogic, Oracle, and object‑oriented design methodologies.
