About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a family office. The CFO will be responsible for managing the principal's personal financial affairs, which includes technical accounting, tax expertise, and investment oversight. This role demands the maintenance of comprehensive records of personal investments across various asset classes, tracking of capital commitments, distributions, and performance metrics, as well as the coordination and review of annual financial statements. The successful candidate will also be tasked with managing relationships with wealth managers, brokers, and custodians, supporting due diligence on new investment opportunities, and overseeing the structure and administration of various financial entities. Applicants for the CFO position at the family office should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA being strongly preferred. A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in accounting, tax, or family office settings is required, along with a deep understanding of partnership accounting, K-1s, and high-net-worth tax planning. The role demands experience with multiple investment types, including hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, and real estate. Proficiency in financial management software such as Excel and QuickBooks is essential. The CFO will also be expected to prepare periodic financial reports, maintain accurate ledgers, and provide analytical support in the evaluation and structuring of new investments.
