Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional in a school setting (1:1 preferred)
• Active New York State License/Certificate required for Teacher Assistants; certification highly preferred for Aides
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for supporting students with individual needs
• Commitment to working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am–2:00 pm during the summer schedule (approx. 27.5 hours per week)
• Ability to provide a resume and copy of your NY State certification/licensure for Teacher Assistants

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized support to assigned students, fostering a positive and productive learning environment
• Assist lead teachers with instructional activities and classroom organization
• Adapt activities and instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Support students with daily activities, transitions, and social interactions
• Collaborate with teaching staff and school administration to monitor student progress
• Uphold confidentiality and professional standards at all times
