Mechanical Engineer - Federal Sector

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of complex federal facilities projects. Qualifications and Skills Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years of relevant experience. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Experience designing and reviewing mechanical building systems for complex facilities. Proficiency with Revit and other commonly used CADD software. Ability to interpret building codes, technical standards, drawings, and specifications. Willingness to travel 10–20%, including occasional OCONUS travel. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP). Autodesk Certified Professional. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Responsibilities & Duties Develop and review mechanical designs, planning documents, and technical reports for federal facilities projects. Design mechanical building systems and coordinate with architectural, structural, civil, and electrical disciplines. Conduct code compliance reviews, technical evaluations, and peer reviews of engineering deliverables. Support projects through design, bidding, and construction while ensuring compliance with technical standards. Develop project schedules, lifecycle cost estimates, and feasibility studies. Lead engineering tasks, prepare scopes of work, and provide technical and contract administration support. Salary commensurate with experience.
