Come make an impact every day at Zebra.What We're Looking For:The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible to develop, maintain and test Electronic circuits used in our existing and new RFID products. The engineer will be responsible for developing products from concept phase to production release. A key responsibility of this senior role is also to proactively investigate, learn, and implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to innovate our engineering processes and drive significant gains in efficiency. This role is a hybrid position and requires a minimum of three days per week in our Holtsville, NY or Germantown, MD office. Zebra reserves the right to modify your work location based on business need.Establishes requirements for moderately complex Electrical design projects.Completes all phases of moderately complex Electrical design projects including system design/Power Supply analysis, circuit design, thermal analysis, simulation, schematic, layout and Electrical circuit validation.Proactively research, evaluate, and implement emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to continuously improve EE design, testing, and system optimization processesPerforms EE analysis and simulation for design, optimization and debugGenerates schematics using Cadence Allegro schematic capture and supports PCB layout.Drives and/or Supports customer and cross-functional issue debug for system level issuesDrives EMI/EMC trouble shooting and validation at product level.Works with internal cross-functional teams and external JDMs/CMs to successfully bring Handheld products to marketDrives EE lab capability development and works with Lab team on test strategy and new technology capabilityWorks cross-functionally with RF, Antenna, Mechanical engineering, SW engineering and System Test on system design, test plan development and issue debugApplies existing technology in new ways to improve performance and productivityConsider latest technologies and new approaches to improve designs and implementation of the design.Reviews changes or upgrades to existing applicationsMay develop new tools and processes to aid in the analysis and solving of problems as well as efficiency improvementPrioritizes quality and seeks out improvements in all aspects of EE projectsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and 4+ year experience or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and 2+ year experienceExperience in Analog and Digital circuit design, memory design and signal integrityExperience with generating schematics using Cadence Allegro (or similar software) schematic capture and supports PCB layout.Experience working with internal cross-functional teams and external JDMs/CMs to successfully bring RFID products to market.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with embedded microprocessors/Microcontrollers such as ST Micro STM32H750 type devices and associated SDRAM and Flash MemoryWIFI, Bluetooth, RF experience a plusExperienced with PSPICE and familiar with FPGA and using C, VHDL/VerilogExperienced with or willing to learn basic RF, Compliance requirements and mitigation of EMI, ESD, Immunity issues.Knowledgeable about USB, Ethernet, serial interfaces, audio and video interfacesEqual Opportunity Employer:Zebra is an equal opportunity employer.
