Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Surgical Trauma PCU/ Burn Unit Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth - 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: PRN Nights What You Will Do Patient Care & Support: Provides assistance according to the plan of care, supports activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences, and serves as a patient advocate. Data Collection & Communication: Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to the nurse, and communicates per department expectations including ethical and legal concerns. Admission, Transfer & Discharge: Assists in patient transitions and ensures documentation is accurate and appropriate throughout the process. Technical Skills & Safety: Performs procedures safely and proficiently, enters orders when applicable, and takes action to reduce or eliminate patient risk while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Collaboration & Cultural Sensitivity: Works in partnership with nurses and other disciplines to adapt care for diverse populations, incorporating cultural and religious needs. Teamwork & Flexibility: Demonstrates adaptability to changing schedules or workloads, welcomes new team members, and uses interpersonal skills to foster a supportive work environment. Professional Development & Improvement: Maintains and enhances care skills, seeks supervision when needed, participates in process improvement, and adheres to National Patient Safety Goals and personnel policies.
