HVAC Project Sales Engineer

This is not one of those “sales” roles where you inherit a tired account list, send a few quotes, and call yourself a Project Sales Engineer. This is for one who actually wants to build . I’m working on an HVAC Project Sales opportunity in Blackfoot, Idaho with a large national mechanical contractor that is growing fast and continuing to invest heavily in its commercial HVAC / mechanical business. What makes this one genuinely interesting is the platform behind it. You are not selling vapor. You are stepping into a business with: existing install / operations infrastructure strong internal engineering and project support real project flow existing customer relationships and market presence to build from and the backing of a national business that is scaling quickly That matters. Because the best salespeople in this market do not just want a higher base. They want to know: Can I actually win here? Is there delivery behind what I’m selling? Do I have support? Is there enough market credibility and infrastructure to build something meaningful? On this one, the answer is yes. The role suits one who can: go out and build relationships create and convert mechanical / HVAC project opportunities sell consultatively rather than just quote reactively work with customers around real HVAC / mechanical solutions stay close to the project from early conversation through handoff operate with a bit of autonomy and commercial drive The earning potential is a big part of the appeal too. There is a strong base salary , but the bigger story is the commission structure and long‑term earning runway . This is the kind of seat where the right person can actually make very good money because: there is already a platform in place there are real customer relationships to build from the company is growing and high performers are not boxed into tiny upside Why it stands out: Tiered commission structure from roughly 9% up to 21% Strong BCBS medical, 401k match, paid parental leave, PTO Existing customer relationships and market presence to build from Real mechanical delivery, engineering, and ops support behind the sale Fast‑growth national platform with real long‑term upside The other reason I like this one is timing.
