Physical Therapist - Acute Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift: 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist with experience in acute care settings to provide exceptional treatment and rehabilitation services to adult and geriatric patients. The ideal candidate will hold or be in the process of obtaining a New Mexico PT license and be prepared for travel assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Utilize adaptive devices and assistive technologies as needed
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment and recovery
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient progress
• Ensure safety and injury prevention during treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care
• Current BLS certification
• New Mexico Physical Therapist license (pending is accepted, with a maximum of 3 weeks for processing)
• Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic
• Strong background in treatment of geriatric and adult patients
