A dental assistant supports dentists in providing patient care by preparing patients for treatments, assisting during procedures, and performing administrative duties. They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office and enhancing the patient experience. Title Dental assistant Job Description - Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by providing instruments, materials, and suction as needed. - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment. - Take and develop dental X-rays. - Prepare and manage dental materials (e.g., fillings, impressions, and sealants). - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. - Maintain patient records and ensure that all information is accurate and up to date. - Schedule patient appointments and manage office inventory and supplies. - Ensure a clean and organized work environment, following infection control protocols. - Handle patient billing and insurance paperwork as needed. Salary Range part-time $20 - $30 per hour - Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
