RN - Med/Tele/SD - Nights

This role leads the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The individual effectively delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members, assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes, and demonstrates sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions. The role maintains involvement in activities aimed at achieving unit and department strategic goals and demonstrates professional responsibility. Sign on Available up to 20K Education Required – Registered nurse diploma. Preferred – Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing. Work Experience Required – None. Certifications Required – Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred – Certification in clinical specialty area. Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally. Strong interpersonal skills. Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed. Ability to demonstrate good judgement. Job Duties Effectively use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care. Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of patients, families, and other groups or disciplines. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly, serving as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team. Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes. Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and foster improvement in the nursing profession. Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, introduction methods, communication style, and request for permissions. Perform other related duties as required.
