Mill Machine Operator

Join the milling process at the Tailor Rolled Blank operation at Mubea. As a Mill Operator you will be in charge of running the mill that changes the thickness of the coils based on the customer’s specifications. You will oversee loading the mill, running the mill, unloading the mill and banding the mill for the next process.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Use of a crane • Some physical lifting • Use of technology such as SAP and Excel • Mechanically inclined decision making • Working off-shift • On feet for extended amount of time

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand job documentation • Physical coordination to lift and move product • Trainable with fork lift truck • Ability to handle multiple tasks • Written and oral communication skills with attention to detail • Math ability, including conversions (English & Metric units) • Ability to read, use and understand measuring devices • Ability to understand machine computer functions including PLC • Ability to load material, perform changeovers, make needed adjustments during production and/or tooling changes • Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders • Knowledge of correct way to handle coils and load / feed material into rolling mill • Ability to operate crane and move steel coils • Ability to setup / recall programs for rolling mill
