Physical Therapist Assistant Home Care

We’re looking for a compassionate licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide one-on-one care in a home setting, helping patients regain mobility and independence. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, allowing a strong work-life balance. Serving the Ballwin through Robertsville area, the position encourages autonomy and the opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships within a supportive team. Overview BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a comprehensive range of home care services, including skilled nursing, adult and pediatric hospice, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, and specialty programs. The organization serves thousands of patients in Missouri and Illinois, covering more than 25 counties. The Metro St. Louis Intermittent Home Care Department provides home visits with 24‑hour on‑call nursing supervision, combining technology with a multidisciplinary approach. Role Purpose Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed physical therapist. Responsibilities Implement treatment plan developed by the licensed physical therapist. Collaborate with the licensed physical therapist to assess and reassess the patient’s plan of care, treatment goals and interventions. Document patient progress in daily and weekly notes, and contribute recommendations to the patient’s discharge note. Assist with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the physical therapist. Report interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contribute to the screening and evaluation process. Minimum Requirements Associate's Degree. PT Assistant training. Experience No prior experience required. Supervisor Experience No prior supervisory experience required. Licenses & Certifications Valid Driver's License. PTA certification.
