We provide development, engineering, construction, and operations services for floating solar projects nationwide, serving utility, government, and commercial clients. Position Summary D3Energy is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead outbound lead generation and qualification efforts. This individual will be responsible for identifying prospective clients, initiating contact with decision-makers, and securing qualified meetings for the development team. This is a hands-on, activity-driven role focused on building and maintaining a consistent pipeline of new business opportunities. Responsibilities Identify and research prospective clients and project opportunities aligned with company criteria Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and professional networks to engage decision-makers Qualify inbound inquiries and advance them to scheduled meetings Schedule and coordinate introductory meetings for senior leadership; support transition of qualified opportunities to the development team Represent the company at industry conferences and trade events Maintain accurate and current records of all prospecting activity within the company CRM Meet established activity and meeting-generation targets Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in business development, outbound sales, or a related client-facing role; experience in energy, infrastructure, or construction is preferred but not required Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding outbound activity and pipeline-generation goals Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort engaging senior decision-makers by phone Highly organized and self-directed, with disciplined CRM and follow-up practices Willingness to travel periodically for conferences and client meetings Compensation and Location Competitive base salary with performance-based commission. This position is based at our headquarters, with periodic travel.
