The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine clinician-educator to join our growing team in the lively city of Charleston, SC. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in training future leaders in Maternal Fetal Medicine while improving access to specialized care for high-risk OB/GYN patients in Charleston and its neighboring areas.

With over 50 dedicated physicians and researchers focused on Women's Health serving the Lowcountry, our organization is proud to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 20 hospitals for Obstetrics & Gynecology.

In 2020, we inaugurated the Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital and Pearl Tourville Women's Pavilion, a cutting-edge facility spanning 100,000 square feet with 250 beds, revolutionizing the delivery of fetal, women's, and children's healthcare in the region. Complementing the exceptional clinical services at our Children's Hospital and Women's Pavilion is the Charles P. Darby Children's Research Institute, the largest pediatric research center in the Carolinas and one of only 15 of its kind nationwide.

We are looking for candidates who possess:

• Board certification or eligibility in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• A strong academic focus, enthusiasm for teaching, and a commitment to outreach
• New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply

About this opportunity:

• Engagement in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows
• Collaboration with a supportive team of 11 MFM physicians, APPs, and support personnel
• Clinic Schedule: 3 full clinic days weekly, seeing approximately 15-25 patients per day, with ½ to 1 day allocated for administrative tasks at the Prenatal Wellness Center or outreach clinics
• Call Schedule: one weekend day backup call and 2-3 weekdays each month
• Inpatient Schedule: 4 weeks annually, one week per quarter
• Travel across South Carolina to provide Maternal Fetal Medicine care
• No research obligations required
