Software Engineer II

Rate of Pay $187,741 to $225,289 per year You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered other types of compensation. You will also be eligible for various benefits. More details can be found at Uber's benefits page. Responsibilities Design, develop, and test software applications. Apply technical knowledge to evaluate complex data, developments, and projects to provide recommendations to resolve technical issues. Support the company's business operations and improve engineering productivity. Build software components that can be integrated into a fully functional software system. Solve production issues in product and system reliability. May telecommute. Qualifications Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of experience in: C++, Python, Java, GoLang, GIT, or SVN SQL and NoSQL Data structures and algorithms development and functionality Designing technology stacks Software Development Lifecycle Presto and Hive for data analysis and log management Kafka, an open-source messaging system, including code integration Experience with Redis key-value caching, encompassing usage and debugging practices Large-scale distributed file systems such as Terrablob/S3 for data persistence, modeling, and analysis Fault-tolerant systems and multi-datacenter/cloud architectures Equal Opportunity Employer Uber is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer.
