If you're looking for a career where your expertise is valued, your development is encouraged, and your work truly matters, the Emergency Department at Canyon Vista Medical Center is the place for you.How You'll ContributeAs an RN in the Emergency Department (ED) at Canyon Vista Medical Center, a 22-bed unit, you will operate within a trauma III hospital setting, ensuring patients receive optimal medical attention and support.Essential FunctionsPerforms plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.Documents patient care provided.Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.Maintains regular and reliable attendance.Performs other duties as assigned.Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.Why join us:We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Additional requirements include:Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.Must have an active Arizona or Compact RN License.BLS, ACLS, PALS, HAZMAT and Handle with Care certifications are required within 90 days of hire.TNCC required within one year of hire.One year of experience preferredMore About Canyon Vista Medical CenterPeople are our passion and purpose.
