About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Event Production & Brand Partnerships Lead to help bring an outdoor and lifestyle brand to life through events, activations, partnerships, and community experiences.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can take an idea from concept through execution — whether that means producing a surf event, coordinating a mountain activation, organizing a community hike, building out a product launch, partnering with a snowboard or outdoor brand, or creating an in-store experience that feels authentic to the culture.

We are looking for someone who understands that outdoor lifestyle brands are built around community, experience, identity, and culture — not just products.

The ideal candidate has experience in event production, experiential marketing, brand partnerships, action sports, outdoor recreation, retail, hospitality, or lifestyle brands and is comfortable taking ownership of projects without needing constant direction.

A genuine interest in snowboarding, surfing, hiking, camping, travel, outdoor gear, streetwear, action sports, or Southern California lifestyle culture is highly important for this role.

What You’ll Do

• Plan and execute outdoor, lifestyle, retail, and community events from concept through completion.
• Produce brand activations, product launches, pop-ups, athlete or ambassador events, community gatherings, and experiential campaigns.
• Manage all event logistics including timelines, permits, locations, vendors, setup, staffing, on-site execution, and breakdown.
• Develop and maintain relationships with outdoor, action sports, lifestyle, hospitality, automotive, apparel, and consumer brands.
• Identify new partnership and sponsorship opportunities that align with the company’s audience and brand identity.
• Coordinate with brand partners on collaborative events, giveaways, product integration, content, and promotional campaigns.
• Source and manage vendors while maintaining event budgets and production timelines.
• Help develop event concepts that feel authentic to outdoor and action-sports communities.
• Create programming around activities such as snowboarding, surfing, hiking, camping, overlanding, fitness, adventure travel, and outdoor culture.
• Work with marketing and creative teams to promote events and capture strong content opportunities.
• Help build relationships with athletes, creators, ambassadors, local communities, and industry partners.
• Assist with retail and store-based events, including customer interaction and community engagement.
• Make independent project decisions within approved budgets and overall brand direction.
• Develop repeatable workflows, vendor relationships, production processes, and best practices for future events.
• Remain hands-on before, during, and after events — including setup, troubleshooting, and breakdown when needed.

What We’re Looking For

The right candidate is someone who can own the entire event, not simply coordinate pieces of it.

You should be organized enough to manage budgets, vendors, timelines, and logistics, but creative enough to understand what makes an outdoor lifestyle event actually feel memorable and authentic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience in event production, experiential marketing, brand activations, or live event management.
• Experience producing events for outdoor, action sports, apparel, streetwear, automotive, travel, hospitality, or lifestyle brands strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of event logistics and on-site production.
• Experience sourcing, negotiating with, and managing vendors.
• Experience managing event budgets and production costs.
• Background in brand partnerships, sponsorships, marketing, or business development.
• Excellent organizational and project-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, vendors, partners, and projects at the same time.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative understanding of branding, storytelling, community building, and experiential marketing.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions without constant supervision.
• Comfortable working nontraditional hours when events require evenings, weekends, travel, or early mornings.
• Willingness to be physically hands-on with event production, setup, and breakdown.
• Genuine connection to outdoor and lifestyle culture.

Compensation

$30 - $35 per hour
