Job Description

Opportunity:

Physician (MD) - Pediatrics - Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, Pediatrics - Critical Care Medicine back up NICU MD on call

Job Details:

• Provide backup NICU coverage and on-call support


• Board certification required with minimum 2 fellowships


• PALS certification required


• Must be comfortable with non-invasive ventilation management including neo-puff


• Perform ventilation management for both newborns and pediatric patients, including acute and chronic cases


• Conduct intubation procedures for newborns and pediatric patients


• Administer conscious sedation and deep sedation


• Insert central lines, arterial lines, UVC, and UAC


• Perform diagnostic procedures including lumbar punctures, paracentesis, and thoracentesis


• Handle emergency procedures such as chest tube insertion and needle pneumothorax decompression


• Interpret X-rays and EKGs


• Manage PA catheters and exchange transfusions


• Perform minor suturing and circumcisions


• Provide Level II/III NICU care including ECMO support


• Manage acute volume and blood pressure issues


• Attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries


• Handle bronchoscopy with bronchial alveolar lavage


• Manage ICP evaluation and monitoring


• Place hemodialysis catheters and temporary pacemakers
