At Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital, more than 27,000 outpatient and inpatient surgeries are performed each year. Our practice provides anesthesia services for over 44,000 cases a year.

Case Assignments General surgery, bariatric, cardiac, ENT, urology, vascular, orthopedic (adult and pediatric), OB, gynecologic, spine neurosurgery, pediatric, and plastic surgery

Responsibilities Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements Current license as a registered professional nurse Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
