Rental Technician

About The Position Do you like to solve technical problems? Are you effective at troubleshooting? If so, we have a challenging opportunity as a Rental Technician in our Wasilla, AK branch. This key role in our company. Hourly Range: $31.85‑42.55 per hour (Based on Skills & Experience) Diagnose and repair Caterpillar, Allied and Genie or aerial equipment including removing, repairing, assembling and installing. Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems; experience with CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling, rigging and blocking equipment is essential. Plan and organize multiple projects with a focus on controlling job costs. Investigate, analyze, and identify problems to make recommendations that eliminate issues. Communicate effectively with a variety of people; strong interpersonal skills and effective writing for internal software and other programs and accurate completion of work/service orders. High school degree (or equivalent) plus graduation from a 2‑4 year vocational technical school training institution or equivalent experience preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Potential forklift driving and operation of equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, pressure washers in some locations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook). Back up to eight hours per day with twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping and kneeling; flexibility to work in the shop or field to assist customers required. Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal. Company Benefits Retirement: 401(k) with company match and profit sharing.
