Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - Med/Surg Tele for a Float Pool night shift position requiring 2+ years of Tele/Med Surg experience and cardiac background.

Details

• Float Pool position within a 495-bed Level II Trauma Center
• Acute care patient population with an average ratio of 1:7
• Must be willing and able to float to other units as needed
• Night shift schedule, 3x12's, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license - VA State License or Compact required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA only)
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum 2 years of Tele/Med Surg experience required
• Cardiac experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN required for consideration; Canadian SIN not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across float pool units within a Med Surg/Telemetry specialty
• Facility has earned an 'A' grade in Patient Safety for 10 consecutive years
• Scrub color required: Navy Blue, per facility dress code policy
• Up to 3 days of preapproved time off allowed, excluding holidays
• May request one holiday off, with a maximum of two days considered for holiday RTO
• Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• No block scheduling accommodated for this assignment
