Youth Care Worker (part-time) Location: Franklin, NC (Macon County) Pay: $15+/hour (based on experience and education) Schedules Available: Part-time nights, 10p - 7a (weekends) About Methodist Home for Children Methodist Home for Children has been serving North Carolina families for decades. Our mission is simple: give kids a safe place to grow, learn, and build a better future. We operate residential homes, support foster families, and partner with public agencies to help youth get back on track. As a Youth Care Worker at our multipurpose home in Franklin, you'll help guide adolescents who need structure, support, and steady leadership. You'll be part of a crew that teaches life skills, keeps the home running smoothly, and helps young people build confidence and direction. This is hands-on work. It's active. It's team-oriented. - Provide steady guidance: Use our proven model of care to support youth through daily routines and challenges.
- Maintain a safe environment: Supervise activities, keep the home organized, and help create a calm, respectful atmosphere.
- Work as part of a team: Coordinate with coworkers, families, volunteers, and community partners.
- Lead by example: Show young people what responsibility, respect, and good decision-making look like in real life.
- Age 21+
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with youth (coaching, mentoring, community programs, or similar roles all count)
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable record
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and extended shifts when needed
