Our Pharmacy Managers play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their respective pharmacy by acting as role models, promoting best practices, and leading through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities. Responsibilities As a Pharmacy Manager, you will: Lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care. Support novel program awareness, onboard new pharmacy team members, and recognize colleagues for their success. Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures. Conduct new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding and ensure trainees are on‑track for timely completion of required training and licensure. Maintain compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and CVS Health policies. Partner with Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline of cross‑trained colleagues willing to work in the pharmacy. Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (DPSs) as applicable. Develop action plans to close gaps in workflow, service, patient care, and compliance. Build a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion for the pharmacy team. Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills and seek opportunities to expand knowledge. Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist‑delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services. Essential Functions Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends. Ability to complete required training within designated timeframes. Ability to concentrate on a task over time and pivot quickly to meet patient and business needs. Attention to prescription information and label accuracy. Friendly customer service orientation. Active listening and effective verbal and written communication. Mathematical reasoning to solve prescription calculations. Problem‑resolution skills in challenging interactions. Physical Demands Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods. Lifting, scanning, and bagging items up to 20 lbs. Reach, stretch, and use precision movements. Movement of fingers repetitively for typing and other tasks. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list. 1‑2 years of experience as a Pharmacist. Preferred Qualifications Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM‑EL) program. 3‑5 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting. Ability to work in the Home store and across the market in other locations to meet business need. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range Typical pay range: $65.00 – $85.00 per hour. Base pay depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors. Position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive program.
