Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: NG tube placement and management Foley placement and management Chest tube maintenance Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg specialty. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients. The unit has a total of 31 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. Common diagnoses include small bowel obstructions, diabetic complications, wound care, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, and sepsis. The nurse will use an Electronic Health Record system. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and adaptability to change. Preferred skill set includes familiarity with an Electronic Medical Record system and NIHSS certification. Education should include graduation from an accredited nursing school with an associate's degree or higher. The dress code requires scrubs of any solid color, while fluorescent attire is not acceptable.
