Location: Savannah, GA Schedule: Monday - Friday Job Type: Part-Time (with potential for full-time) Pay: $18/hr

Position Overview

The Billing Clerk plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all billing activities for our client. This position involves preparing invoices, verifying supporting documentation, maintaining billing records, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process invoices accurately and on schedule for clients and vendors.
• Review timesheets, shipping records, and service logs to verify billable details.
• Communicate with internal departments and external clients to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Enter billing data into the company's accounting and logistics systems.
• Maintain organized records of billing transactions and supporting documents.
• Reconcile billing statements and ensure correct payment allocations.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks and reporting.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting and operations team as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in billing, accounting, or administrative support (logistics industry experience a plus).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and data entry systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Work Environment

• Office-based role within a logistics/warehouse environment.
• Must be comfortable working with operations data, invoices, and billing records.
• Occasional coordination with warehouse or dispatch teams may be required.
