Quality Inspector (Aerospace)Expleo Group USA is currently looking for a Quality Inspector (Aerospace) to join our team for an exciting new opportunity in Kinston, North Carolina.The Quality Inspector will play a key role in supporting aerospace manufacturing and assembly operations by ensuring aircraft components, structures, and assemblies meet engineering, customer, and regulatory quality requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work in a highly regulated aerospace environment where quality, safety, and precision are critical to program success.Inspection & Quality AssurancePerform detailed inspections of aerospace panels, assemblies, and manufactured components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standardsConduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections in accordance with AS9102 requirementsVerify dimensional accuracy, workmanship, damage tolerance, defect identification, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) compliancePerform visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipmentConfirm completed products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirementsReview manufacturing documentation, work instructions, inspection records, and acceptance criteria for completeness and accuracyNon-Conformance & Corrective ActionsIdentify, document, and report non-conforming materials, products, and processesSupport root cause investigations and corrective action activities related to quality findingsParticipate in MRB, NCR, CAPA, and corrective action processes as requiredCollaborate with quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of quality concernsQuality Compliance & Continuous ImprovementMonitor manufacturing areas for Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention and housekeeping complianceMaintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation in accordance with aerospace standardsSupport adherence to AS9100, AS9102, and applicable customer quality requirementsPromote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the facilityQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline preferred3+ years of quality inspection experience within aerospace, aviation, defense, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industriesExperience inspecting aerospace composite panels, aircraft structures, metallic components, or aerospace assembliesStrong understanding of aerospace quality standards, inspection methods, and quality assurance processesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing documentationExperience performing First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process inspectionsHands-on experience using precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and related inspection toolsAbility to identify, document, and disposition non-conformances in accordance with aerospace quality requirementsStrong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality excellencePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting Airbus A350 manufacturing, assembly, inspection, or quality programsExperience inspecting Airbus A350 fuselage panels, composite panels, or structural assembliesExperience working within Airbus quality systems and manufacturing environmentsAS9100 and AS9102 experienceNon-Destructive Testing (NDT) certifications or experienceASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certificationExperience with MRB, NCR, CAPA, and corrective action processesFamiliarity with aerospace ERP, MES, or Quality Management SystemsLean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experienceAerospace quality certifications or specialized inspection trainingWhat We OfferAt Expleo Group USA, we value expertise, innovation, and collaboration. Please note that the compensation range displayed is a generalized range for pipelining purposes and may not reflect the final range for a specific role.
