Associate, Credit Underwriting

This is a unique opportunity to step into a pure underwriting seat with strong deal flow, meaningful exposure to structuring, and direct interaction with institutional capital. The platform has recently scaled its backing and infrastructure, while maintaining a lean, high-impact team environment where Vice Presidents have real influence. Why This Role Pure underwriting focus — not a coverage or origination seat Exposure to a differentiated part of the credit markets with strong institutional momentum High visibility and impact within a growing platform Responsibilities Perform detailed credit underwriting and due diligence on sponsor-backed and corporate loan transactions Build and maintain financial models, including downside and LGD analysis Prepare investment / underwriting memoranda and present key findings internally Participate in structuring discussions across a range of leveraged finance transactions Interface with banks, direct lenders, and other market participants to assess opportunities Support portfolio monitoring and contribute to broader strategic initiatives Mentor and support junior team members Qualifications 4+ years of experience in leveraged finance, direct lending, or credit investing Strong underwriting experience across sponsor-backed and/or corporate credit Advanced financial modeling skills and experience preparing credit memos Exposure to capital structure analysis, downside scenarios, and deal structuring Background in investment banking or private credit strongly preferred Experience with syndication, loan distribution, or restructuring is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr Taylor Root
