Inform patients when diagnosis reveals findings outside physical therapy and refer to appropriate practitionersRecord prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enter information into EMRPlan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment (modalities, manual treatment, therapeutic ex, etc.) to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.Direct, supervise, assess, and communicate with supportive personnelProvide educational information about physical therapy and physical therapists, injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote health.Discharge patient from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained and provide for appropriate follow-up care or referrals. And instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.Required Qualifications:Doctorate in Physical Therapy- requiredNYS Physical Therapy License and Registration- requiredBLS Certification- requiredCommunicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and co-workersCommunicate with MDs on a continuously basis in regards to patient careKnowledge of EMR, MS Word/Excel, PT billing codesKnowledge of manual PT treatments, use of modality and PT exercise equipmentPay Range $80,000 - $110,000The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience and location of position.About Our CommitmentTotal Rewards at VillageMDOur team members are essential to our mission to reshape healthcare through the power of connection.
