Cambria Downtown Austin Hotel - AM Line Cook

Cambria Downtown Austin is seeking a Full-Time AM Line Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. This position is responsible for preparing and executing breakfast and morning menu items while maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and cleanliness in a hotel kitchen environment.

Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Prepare and cook breakfast and AM menu items according to recipes and brand standards
• Set up and break down stations for morning service
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, equipment, and workstations
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
• Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, and stocking as needed
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen team members
• Support overall kitchen operations during peak service times

What are we looking for?

• Ability to work any day of the week, early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Previous line cook or kitchen experience (hotel or breakfast experience a plus).
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to effectively understand and communicate with staff both verbally and written.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Moving up to 50 lbs. frequently, throughout shift, to perform essential job functions.
• Capable of remaining in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for duration of shift.
• Extend arms; frequent reaching, twisting, pulling, bending, and stooping.
• Ability to observe and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines for food handling, cross-contamination protocols, and sanitation.
• Able to provide Texas Food Handler's Safety Certificate.

Compensation: $18 - $20
