Barista at Café Emís | Kennett Square, PA

Café Emís is quickly growing, and we’re looking for personable, dependable baristas to grow with us. We’re a Greek-inspired café in Kennett Square serving specialty coffee and fresh food, known for our focus on hospitality and doing things intentionally.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso drinks, matcha, teas, and signature beverages with care and consistency
• Welcome guests, answer menu questions, educate them on our menu, assist with dietary restrictions and help them find their next favorite order
• Take orders accurately and operate the point-of-sale system
• Keep the coffee bar clean, stocked, and ready for smooth service
• Follow recipes, food safety practices, and opening and closing procedures
• Communicate with teammates and stay organized during busy shifts

Qualifications

• Prior barista or restaurant experience strongly preferred
• A friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills
• Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and supporting your team
• Open availability including weekends (Cafe Emis’ operating hours are 7an-7pm and 8am-6pm on Sundays
• Interest in a long-term role with room to grow

• Earning potential of $15-$17+ per hour, including consistent tips of $7+/hr . Pay varies with experience.
