We let our personalities shine, and we like to have fun.A day in the life...As Staff Accountant, you are responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance, accounting, & payroll operations of Napa Valley Wine Train. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. You are highly detail-oriented & enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, maintaining accuracy, and collaborating with multiple departments. You are excited to accept the daily challenge involving a combination of financial analysis, payroll processing, compliance, and supporting the organization's overall financial health.RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.Minimum 2 years of accounting and/or payroll experience for medium to large sized organization.Proficiency with Ventrata, Acumatica, Craftable, Hotel Effectiveness, Paylocity.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail and accuracy.Preferred SkillsFinancial reportingAccount reconciliationsJournal entriesGeneral ledger maintenanceTime managementData analysisConfidentiality and integrityPayroll accounting (tips & gratuity)Payroll processing (bi-weekly, semi-monthly)Timekeeping and attendance managementRecordkeeping and payroll documentationConfidential handling of employee informationAccounts payable (AP)Accounts receivable (AR)Expense analysisCash flow managementInventory accountingPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 25–50 pounds.Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods in an office environment.Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift.$26.00-$28.00 per hourOffer & BenefitsIn return, our Staff Accountants are rewarded affordable health benefits, 10 days of accrued PTO annually, matching 401K, Holiday pay, birthday pay and the opportunity to work in paradise as a part of a great team in a place where you can be proud.
