GGH Level 3 RN Endo - FT

Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Short Description: 36 hours per week plus call (1 hour call response time). Call rotation which includes two full weekends of call and one weekday/week per month. Response time is 1 hour for Endo RN. Shifts start 6:30AM (Pre-Op Endo) 7AM (Circulator/Tech Endo) or 7:30AM (Post Op Endo) dependent upon assigned role for the day (aka shift start time 6:30-7:30AM).

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient need, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates the care delivery throughout the patient's episode. The Endo RN develops specialized skill in the area of patient admitted for medical conditions. He/She provides care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions. The Endo RN is accountable for patient family education to assist in understanding self care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing. The Endo Registered Nurse is expected to promote comfort and provide emotional support in a Healing Environment.

Skills:

• NYS RN Licensure - Required - 1 Years
• One (1) Year Experience serving in Endo Environment as a Registered Nurse - Required - 1 Years
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS - Required

• Floating between GGH And SSMH is expected. Are you willing, ready, and able to float between departments and locations as long as you have been oriented to that unit population?
