Full-Time | Non-Exempt
The Sisters of St. Francis are seeking a dependable, skilled, and service-oriented individual to join our Maintenance team. This is a hands-on position responsible for helping maintain our campus buildings, equipment, and grounds while supporting a safe and welcoming environment for Sisters, residents, staff, and guests.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you will perform a variety of maintenance and facilities responsibilities, including:
General building maintenance and repairs, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other routine facility needs
Preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and furnishings
Basic troubleshooting and maintenance involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire alarm systems
Maintenance and repair of medical assistive equipment, including wheelchairs, walkers, bedrails, and beds
Assistance with maintenance and troubleshooting of the nurse call system
Grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, pruning, gardening, and seasonal work
Snow and ice removal from campus sidewalks, entrances, roadways, and other areas
Completion and documentation of work orders, including time, equipment, materials, and inventory used
Assistance with campus projects, repairs, room set-ups, moves, and other facility needs
Participation in the year-round maintenance on-call rotation, with the ability to respond in a timely manner when called
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire alarm systems, carpentry, painting, general maintenance, and groundskeeping
Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred, but not required
Ability to safely use common hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
Ability to work independently and recognize when additional technical expertise is needed
Willingness to learn, follow procedures, and support team goals
Dependability and a strong commitment to safety
A respectful, courteous, and service-oriented presence with Sisters, residents, staff, and guests
Ability and willingness to participate in the year-round on-call rotation
Physical Requirements
This is an active position requiring regular bending, stooping, climbing, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, lift up to 30 pounds from waist to shoulder, push or pull up to 35 pounds, and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
