Laboratory Technologist - Clinical laboratory Scientist

Clinical Laboratory Scientist Blood Bank
Shift start windows:
- 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
- 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
- Weekend coverage: Rotating weekends
- Holidays: Open to negotiation
Requirements:
- Active California license required at time of submission
- Certifications: ASCP-MLS, ASCP-BB
- Minimum overall experience: 5 years
- Required blood bank experience: Minimum 3 years
- EMR experience: EPIC (preferred)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform blood banking procedures and transfusion reaction workups.
- Report results and maintain QA/controls.
- Ensure proper labeling and disposal of blood products.
- Conduct ABO/Rh typing, antibody screening and ID, direct/indirect Coombs testing, antigen typing, and Rhogam screening.
- Manage blood product storage and irradiation processes.
- Supervise and direct laboratory staff in accordance with quality assurance protocols.
Compliance / Notes:
- Pre-start requirements include an Advanced EKG exam (onsite) and completion of required modules before start.
- References required; include copies of all required certifications with submission.
- RTO (return-to-office) must be submitted at time of submission.
