Afternoon Host/Cashier/Barista

Position Summary

The Barista/Cashier/Host is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest while providing outstanding customer service. This position combines barista, cashier, and host responsibilities to ensure efficient front-of-house operations. Team members prepare beverages and food items, process guest transactions, answer phones, seat guests, and help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet every guest with a friendly, welcoming attitude and create a positive first impression.
• Accurately take guest orders and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
• Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, and food items according to company standards.
• Seat guests promptly and maintain an organized, clean, and comfortable dining area.
• Answer incoming phone calls, assist guests, and accurately process to-go orders.
• Keep front-of-house areas clean, stocked, and well maintained throughout each shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service and an exceptional guest experience.
• Assist with stocking, cleaning, and other front-of-house duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Willingness to learn and accept coaching; on-the-job training is provided.
• Previous experience in customer service, coffee service, or restaurant operations is preferred but not required.

Schedule & Availability

• Part-time positions available.
• Flexible scheduling with day and evening shifts.
• Must be available to work some Saturdays.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
• Bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

This position works in a fast-paced restaurant and coffee service environment with frequent interaction with guests and team members. The Barista/Cashier/Host is expected to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming work area while following all company policies and food safety standards.
