$236,292- $317,844 annually Physician 3 Coyote Ridge Corrections Center Connell, WA 8:00am-4:30pm (0700-1630) Monday–Friday Responsibilities Provides direct clinical care as needed to accomplish the mission of Health Services. Assesses physical and emotional conditions of patients during nursing triage, ambulation, care clinics, infirmary rounds, and initiates appropriate interventions according to policies and treatment plans. Responds to health care emergencies throughout the facility and institution grounds. Provides emergency medical care including CPR and utilizes triage format for offenders and staff, and refers staff to personal physicians after emergency response. Makes medical diagnoses based on data collected by subordinate staff and initiates treatment protocols, ensuring compliance with state licensure laws and internal policies; reports deviations per protocol. Consultation and Training Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans and continuity of care. Assists in developing treatment plans for chronic disease patients. Participates in review and revision of health services policies, procedures, and treatment protocols. Assists in developing multidisciplinary educational programs for staff. Participates in performance evaluations of contract and employed providers. Documentation and Health Services Activities Maintains accurate, legible, complete patient care records using SOAP format. Participates in safety and sanitation inspections and reports deficiencies. Responds to verbal and written requests for medical information with appropriate confidentiality. Investigates and responds to patient grievances, complete incident reports, and collect data for departmental operations. Quality Improvement Participates in quality improvement activities including case reviews, lab processes, and death investigations. Qualifications Required qualifications: Unrestricted medical license in Washington State. Unrestricted DEA license with waiver to prescribe buprenorphine; waiver may be obtained within 60 days of hire. American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers certification within 60 days of hire. Experience supervising and/or directing health care delivery operations. Preferred/Desired qualifications: MD or DO from an accredited school and completion of an ACGME/ABOM accredited residency program. Board certification in an ABMS/ABOM certified specialty, preferably Internal Medicine. Board eligibility with plan to obtain certification within 24 months of hire (unless prior holder).
