This travel Ultrasound Tech job in Winchester, VA with Advantis Medical is a 13-week travel Ultrasound Tech contract at Winchester Medical Center. This role pays $2,423 per week and follows a Nights shift with a 4x10 schedule. In this travel Ultrasound Tech job, you will support patient care through specialty-specific clinical services, perform assessments and treatments within your scope of practice, document patient progress, operate relevant medical equipment, and collaborate with physicians and the broader care team to help deliver quality patient outcomes.

Winchester Medical Center is Valley Health's 495-bed flagship and the only Level II Trauma Center in the northern Shenandoah Valley, serving parts of Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. The region's only Level II Trauma Center runs a 24/7 trauma bay, a steady source of CT, X-ray, and ultrasound volume. A nationally recognized stroke program pairs with neurosurgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, and neurovascular intervention. The Clyde A. Smith Heart & Vascular Center handles cardiac catheterization, PCI, and cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. Robotic surgery spans general and specialty cases, including robotic-assisted joint replacement for orthopedic techs. A 65,000-square-foot Diagnostic Center runs CT (including cardiac CT), MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray; a Level III NICU and Level 4 Epilepsy Center add neonatal and neuro work, and Epic is the EMR.

Responsibilities

• Perform ordered sonographic exams across the assigned caseload
• Prepare and position patients for optimal image acquisition
• Operate ultrasound equipment, selecting appropriate transducers and imaging settings
• Obtain diagnostic-quality images and accurate measurements, documenting preliminary technical findings for radiologists and interpreting providers

Travel Ultrasound Tech Requirements:

• 2+ years of recent Ultrasound Tech experience.
• Must hold all required certifications and licenses as mandated by Virginia and national regulatory bodies.
