LensCrafters - Assistant Manager

Overview LensCrafters is part of EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in vision care products and services. The Assistant Manager role supports the Store Manager, serves as a business owner in the marketplace, and delivers key performance metrics while representing LensCrafters as the premier destination for vision needs in the community. General Function The Assistant Manager leads the retail team in the absence of, or in support of, the Store Manager, maintains store appearance, ensures compliance with company policies, and fosters a positive working relationship with doctors and customers. Major Duties & Responsibilities Deliver quality improvements to exceed all key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales targets, conversion rates, traffic, profitability, exam growth, retention goals, Net Promoter Score, and current year objectives. Apply solid retail business knowledge to achieve sales and profit objectives and understand the market and competitors. Support store business plans to maximize sales and profit. Partner with the Store Manager to lead, develop, and provide clear, constructive feedback to the team. Execute visual directives and maintain store appearance. Maintain positive relationships with doctors. Promote compliance with all policies. Perform administrative duties. Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Basic Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. 1+ year(s) management/supervisory experience with direct reports. Knowledge of retail operations, processes, and policies. Strong basic math skills. Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators. Strong command of the English language for written and oral communication. Strong communicator and listener. High level of selling skills. Proven ability to problem solve. Preferred Qualifications College degree or equivalent. Previous leadership experience in retail and customer service. Knowledge of basic optics. Knowledge of current store merchandise. State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification for non‐licensed states. Brand Final Inspector Certification. Brand Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program certification. Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $23.43 – $36.54 per hour. Compensation is determined by geography, experience, qualifications, and local minimum wage requirements. Bonus and/or commission plans may be offered.
