Imaging Coordinator - Full Time/Days

The Imaging Coordinator organizes and maintains the daily schedule to meet the needs of patients and physicians of the medical staff at facilities in the Baptist Health Care organization. This position is available as a resource and communicator for physicians, patients, department, and hospital personnel, visitors, etc., regarding the overall daily operations of the department. This position maintains all medical records and files. This position obtains and inputs data required for outpatient appointments, performs functions of film librarian, and communicates reports to physician's offices.Baptist Health Care is a not-for-profit health care system committed to improving the quality of life for people and communities in northwest Florida and south Alabama. Transfers calls when appropriate, and takes accurate messages. Check in patient for procedures. Obtains and inputs data for outpatient admitting process. Locates and provides information required by quality resource management for medical audits. Assists physicians in locating films for consultation with radiologists. Performs a variety of administrative functions. Initiates and maintains department files of case records, correspondence, reports and resources. Anticipates equipment and supply needs. Contacts appropriate people for repair of equipment and machines. Monitors waiting room and cleans/organizes when necessary.Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.
