Medical Assistant, Full-time, Lady Lake, FLAllerVie Health exists to change the way people live with allergies, asthma, and complex immunological conditions. As a growing healthcare organization, we're expanding access to specialized allergy and immunology care across communities.We're seeking a Medical Assistant to join our dynamic allergy and immunology clinic team. In this role, you will support clinical care teams by gathering detailed patient medical histories, reconciling medications, and accurately updating electronic medical records. This position requires familiarity with general allergy and immunology practices, procedures, and medications.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrates appropriate technique for obtaining vital signsObtain spirometry and Niox testing on patientsCompetency and knowledge of general allergy practice, procedures, and medicationsKeep exam rooms well stocked and cleanCommunicate effectively with the management teamDisplay professionalism in patient interactionsDocument activities in EMRPerform other job-related duties as assignedThis position may require travel to other clinicsQualifications, Education, and Experience:Previous experience working with patients in a medical settingCompletion of a Medical Assistant program and Medical Assistant certification preferredUnderstanding of basic medical terminologyExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to function well in a fast-paced and at times, stressful environmentExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of EMR systemProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwarePhysical Requirements:Ability to sit for extended periods and communicate effectivelyRegular use of hands and arms to write, type, and operate office equipmentOccasional physical movement, including reaching, bending, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and sensing odorsAbility to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and occasional overhead reachingAbility to lift and carry moderate weightsWhy Join AllerVie?
