POSITION SUMMARY

The Kitchen Partner (Line Cook) prepares and produces dishes according to Pizza 4P’s recipes, quality standards, and kitchen procedures.

This role contributes to the kitchen team by executing food preparation, cooking, and plating tasks while maintaining strict food safety, sanitation, and operational standards. Kitchen Partners support efficient kitchen workflow and collaborate closely with pizza, service, and bar teams to deliver a consistent and memorable dining experience for guests.

This role requires the ability to multi-task efficiently and maintain high-speed production without compromising quality in a high-volume New York dining environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Kitchen Production & Food Preparation
Prepare ingredients and dishes following standardized recipes and kitchen procedures.
Execute assigned cooking and plating tasks across kitchen stations such as appetizers, salads, pasta, or hot dishes.
Maintain consistency in portioning, taste, presentation, and product quality.
Support timely food preparation during service to meet operational demand.

Execute high-speed food production while maintaining "WOW" quality and consistency during intense peak periods.

Food Safety & Hygiene
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards required by company and local regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of ingredients according to food safety guidelines.
Participate in regular kitchen cleaning and sanitation routines.

Strictly adhere to NYC Department of Health (DOHMH) food safety standards, including proper handwashing, cross-contamination prevention, and temperature logging.

Equipment & Kitchen Tools
Use kitchen equipment and tools safely and correctly, including knives, cutting boards, scales, and cooking equipment.
Conduct basic equipment checks and report malfunctions to the Kitchen Leader.
Maintain tools and equipment in clean and functional condition.

Learning & Skill Development
Continuously build kitchen skills across multiple preparation and cooking processes.
Participate in training sessions and skill evaluations as part of the kitchen career pathway.
Demonstrate willingness to learn new stations and improve technical skills.

Demonstrate a multi-tasking mindset by learning and supporting various stations (Appetizer, Pasta, Salad, etc.) as needed.

Teamwork & Collaboration
Work closely with kitchen teammates to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Coordinate with pizza and service teams during busy service periods.
Communicate clearly with leaders and teammates regarding orders, preparation timing, and operational needs.
Support a respectful and collaborative team culture.

Compliance & Workplace Standards
Follow workplace policies including attendance, punctuality, grooming, and professional conduct.
Maintain focus, discipline, and safety during service hours.
Uphold Pizza 4P’s values through professionalism, teamwork, and care for product quality.

Uphold strict sustainability practices, ensuring accurate waste separation and composting at the workstation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Culinary school or culinary training is a plus but not required.

NYC Food Protection Certificate is preferable.

Experience
Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is preferred but not required. Entry-level candidates with strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

COMPENSATION

Hourly Wage Range: USD 18 – 22 per hour + TIP 

Start working from 15th MAY

This range represents the good-faith compensation estimate at the time of posting in accordance with New York City salary transparency requirements. Final compensation will depend on experience and qualifications.

Overtime is paid in accordance with federal and New York State law.
