Were seeking a passionate and driven Physician Leader to help lead our Trauma, Acute & Critical Care Surgery team at Trinity Health IHA Medical Group located in Livonia, Michigan. Opportunity Details

  • Position Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
  • Schedule: Shift based
  • Location: Livonia, Michigan
  • Specialty: Trauma, Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery
  • Hospital Info: 304 Beds, Level II Trauma Center
  • Team Size: 6 surgeons, 13 APPs
  • Teaching Opportunities: Yes - Residents, Medical Students, Fellows, APPs

A multidisciplinary trauma care program with a strong focus on continuous performance improvement, clinical education, and quality outcomes across the full spectrum of trauma services, from prevention through rehabilitation.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified in General Surgery
  • Board Certified in Surgical Critical Care
  • ACS or SCC Fellowship completion required
  • Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA license
  • ACLS/BLS certified

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

  • Provide comprehensive care in Trauma Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery
  • Participate in the care of trauma patients across the full continuum, from initial resuscitation through rehabilitation
  • Serve as a clinical educator for General Surgery Residents and Surgical Critical Care Fellows
  • Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities
  • Participate in administrative and leadership responsibilities, including support of ongoing trauma verification and performance improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate on a multidisciplinary trauma program focused on quality, safety, and education
  • Documenting in Epic EMR
