Project Manager, R&D

Baxter seeks a strategic project manager to lead complex, high-impact initiatives within Advanced Surgery. This role involves driving cross-functional teams through product development, manufacturing optimization, and business-critical programs while ensuring alignment across engineering, quality, regulatory, and commercial functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic, cross-functional projects supporting business growth, product development, and operational excellence
- Build alignment across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, finance, regulatory, and commercial teams
- Develop and execute project plans delivering results on time, within budget, and meeting business objectives
- Identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges impacting project success
- Guide teams through product lifecycle management processes and stage-gate milestones while ensuring quality and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of related experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years
- 5+ years leading complex, multi-site project management initiatives
- Experience in regulated industries such as medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences
- Proven ability to lead through influence and deliver results across diverse teams
- Strong business acumen, financial management, and strategic planning skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- PMP, PMI, IPMA, or equivalent project management certification preferred
Compensation: $128,000–$176,000 base annually
