What You'll Do As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide direct care, support, and encouragement to individuals in a residential setting while promoting their dignity, independence, and quality of life. Responsibilities include: Assisting individuals with daily living activities and personal care as needed Supporting individuals in achieving personal goals and developing life skills Ensuring a safe, positive, and supportive environment Completing documentation and maintaining accurate records Performing light housekeeping and household tasks Responding appropriately to routine situations and emergencies Building positive relationships with individuals, families, and team members Encouraging community involvement and meaningful activities What We’re Looking For Successful DSPs/CNAs/HHAs Nursing Students and other caring professionals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others. Qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to supporting others Dependable with excellent attendance and reliability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to adapt to the unique needs of individuals served Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, human services, or direct support is helpful but not required Why Join The Arc Chemung-Schuyler?
