$15.14-16.79 / Hour

Monday-Friday | 7:30am-4:30pm

Paid Weekly

Key Duties for Public Works Laborer Position:


Mows, rakes, waters, and maintains grass, trees, bushes, and landscaping

Cuts weeds, trims vegetation, and removes or processes fallen trees

Repairs pavement by breaking up damaged areas, mixing mortar, filling holes, tamping, and rolling patches

Loads and unloads rock, blacktop, and other construction materials

Cleans ditches, storm and sanitary sewers, catch basins, and culverts

Paints and replaces street signs, pavement markings, and related infrastructure

Shovels snow, gravel, dirt, and other materials as needed

Cleans and maintains trucks, equipment, tools, and work areas

Qualifications and Desired Skills for Public Works Laborer:


High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license required

Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods

Frequent use of hands and arms to handle tools, operate controls, and reach

Ability to operate heavy equipment and work around vibration and repetitive hand or wrist movements

Ability to crouch, crawl, and move safely across uneven terrain

Ability to properly wear required personal protective equipment throughout the shift

Ability to stand for duration of shift

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
