Clinical Social Worker

The Clinical Social Worker provides social work services to the hospital’s patients and their families to address psychosocial and environmental factors which impact their healthy functioning and/or recovery. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team providing direct clinical services including assessment, brief intervention, and coordination of services. Develops a network of community agencies to facilitate referrals. The Clinical Social Worker assists in the development and implementation of department policies, programs, and procedures. Qualifications and Specifications Master's Degree Required Field of Study: Social Work or related Experience in a healthcare setting or hospital strongly preferred RI Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) RI Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker strongly preferred LCSWs must obtain LICSW within a period of 3 years from date of hire Americans with Disability Act Statement External and internal applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled must be able to perform the essential job-specific functions either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation, to be determined by the organization on a case-by-case basis.
