Job Title: Refurb Technician

Summary of Position:

The Refurb Technician performs disassembly, assembly, cleaning, preparation and packaging of a variety of computers and related peripherals. The equipment can include personal computers, controllers, printers, card readers, pin pads, scanners, network peripherals and a variety of components and subassemblies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Preparing equipment for its final assembly or repair stages and can also perform tasks in preparation for shipping

· Performs disassembly of equipment to gain access to the necessary parts for cleaning, inspection or replacement

· Depending on the product, its construction and its composition, the Refurb Technician may use a number of non-hazardous solvents or cleaners to remove inks, adhesives and other markings from equipment covers and components.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• No prior experience required
• Must work well with others and follow directions
• Must be able to use basic hand tools
• Speed, quality of work and thoroughness are vital
