Details Work in the Respiratory Therapy Services department of a 337-bed hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designation Adult and NICU patient population (no pediatric floor patients) Department sees 300+ patients per day 12-hour night shifts, 1900–0700, 36 hours per week Every other weekend rotation Required to float across Region 2 facilities as needed, including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, any Freestanding ED within the region, and Central Division (CMC Main, CMC Mercy, and Levine Children's Hospital) — candidates who are not agreeable to this floating requirement should not apply Uses Epic EMR Equipment includes Servo ventilators (I, U, and Airs), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP Requirements RRT or CRT credential required Active NC respiratory therapy license required (license required if applicable) Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience Minimum 12 months of core work experience in unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year Experience across critical care, CVICU, NICU, ED, progressive care, and all floor therapies required Epic EMR experience required Candidate's permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Provide respiratory therapy services to adult and NICU patients across a wide range of care settings and acuity levels Supported by Respiratory Care Leadership and department staff Orientation includes NEO plus 2 days of departmental training Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays Royal blue scrubs required Free parking available on site Candidates who have worked a permanent position at any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered Department culture emphasizes teamwork and adherence to organizational values American Traveler Job ID #P-703825.
